Parish Music Outreach Worker

All Saints Church, Thelwall, Cheshire are looking to appoint a part time Parish Music Outreach Worker to work with a team of volunteers to lead the music as part of our Sunday worship, and to work with local families and children to demonstrate the love of God and to help them come to know Jesus Christ through music.

The work will comprise approximately 6 hours per week with the church choir and services, and 14 hours per week working with the local schools and community.

This part time post is for 20 hours per week with a starting salary of £15,267 per annum and 6 weeks paid leave.  A contributory pension scheme will be offered.

The successful candidate will organise the church choir, lead and facilitate choir practices and musical worship, and will engage children in the village primary schools, encouraging children and young people to take part in musical worship outside the school environment.

We need someone who can bring great enthusiasm, and perhaps new ideas about how to engage with local children and their families, through the two local primary schools.   This exciting opportunity has arisen as a result of the retirement of our long-serving Director of Music (who still worships at All Saints) and the church’s desire to use music in outreach to the village primary schools and children & young people in the church & community,
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required for the successful candidate. An Occupational Requirement exists for the post holder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act, 2010.
