Whoever and wherever we are, we are all called to live out our faith in our everyday lives.
Everyday Faith has grown out of Setting God's People Free, a Church of England initiative that aims to help all Christians to live out the good news of Jesus, and follow him with confidence, in all areas of our lives.
Whether we are lay or ordained, we are all equal partners in mission, grounded in our common baptism with complementary gifts and vocations. Together we are called to be a living witness to others in our homes, schools, workplaces, churches, and communities – all the places we find ourselves each and every day.
What’s happened in this diocese so far?
A diocesan working group chaired by the Archdeacon of Chester, has been working with a number of pilot parishes to research and better understand the context of our diocese.
A research report outlined the journey pilot parishes have taken to embed a culture of everyday faith in their communities.
The report is encouraging in its picture of the growth in confidence in everyday faith and the way in which resources and initiatives were received in our churches.
