Diocese announces plans for the Lay Conference 2020

The Diocese of Chester has announced details of its Lay Conference 2020. It will be held on the weekend of 15 to 17 May and is open to all lay church members.

The Lay Conference will be titled: Not Just Sunday: #EverydayFaith, and will explore how we can encourage each other to live out our faith confidently every day of the week, Not just Sunday.

Chair of the Lay Conference Planning Group, and Chair of the House of Laity, John Mason, says: "We hope that everyone who attends will leave feeling encouraged and equipped. We will explore together the ways in which we can rise to the missional challenge before us and lead the Church into growth. We sincerely hope your parish can be represented at what we hope will be an uplifting occasion as we learn from one another and enjoy the company of others."

The Lay Conference Planning Group is currently meeting to plan the weekend. More details about the speakers and the content of the weekend will be announced in the New Year. The Lay Conference Planning Group is writing to all PCC Secretaries this week to explain how the booking will work.
