Smiles all round at Family Fun Day

Our  Family Fun Day, which took place on 09 April at Foxhill, Frodsham, was a great success, due in no small part to the great activities on offer and also because the event was blessed with glorious sunshine.

Jonny Masters,  the Youth, Children and Families’ Adviser for the diocese, who organised the event exclaimed, "The laughter and joyful shouts of children could be heard echoing off the woodlands".

The free Family Fun Day featured a Lego town, bouncy castle, a huge inflatable slide, prayer activities, face painting, and a climbing wall as well as lots more. Over 90 people were present on the day, including a brilliant team of youth and children’s leaders, and clergy, from across the Diocese.

When asked about the favourite parts of their day one six year old child said, “My favourite part was the bouncy castle because when you bounced on it you bounced really high.” One of the adults who came along was delighted with the day. She said, “We moved from another Diocese and they never did anything like this. This is great!”

Jonny Masters said of the day, “I was thrilled with how it all went. It was such a joy to work with so many wonderful people to make it happen, from colleagues at Church House, to clergy, youth and children’s leaders from various parishes. The reward of seeing so many smiling faces as people went home, made all the hard work worth it.”

It is expected there will be another family fun day next year, so keep an eye out for when bookings open for that.
