rural volunters fundraising appeal 2013

undefinedVolunteers are wanted to help with the fundraising work of the Agricultural Chaplaincies Team. The team which operates within Churches Together in Cheshire offers support to farmers and farm workers and their families in these very difficult times for rural communities.

The fundraising is important because it helps sustain services such as: visits to people who are isolated and   /or suffering from depression; a helpline, staffed 24 hours a day; and bereavement support.

Fundraising work can include arranging: metal-detecting events on farmland (for which users are changed a fee), concerts, special seasonal events, and the sale of refreshments. All these activities require organisation, which is why volunteer fundraisers are needed.

If you think you can help, please contact Alison Linfieldpictured above – who is chair of the team’s fundraising group. Alison is also a Lay Reader at Christ Church, Newtown, Chester. Phone her on 07724 900634 or email
