Many churches across the diocese are already registered with A Church Near You, the website that helps people to find a church in their area.
For churches it’s a great way to put yourself on the map, literally, so that people know where you are, how to find you and who to contact, via phone or email. There’s also much more information that you can add, such as service times, facilities and additional pages of information about your church. Best all, it’s a totally free service, provided by the Church of England.
It's been around for a few years, and if you haven’t used it for a while, it’s definitely worth a look as there’s so much more to it now. What started out as a way for churches to publish basic information online, has grown to offer a wealth of useful resources. There’s downloadable music, images, and videos, all for free that you can use on your website, social media platforms, posters and parish newsletters.
It's about this time of year when churches start to plan for Christmas and Christmas resources are already there for you to download and use, and there’s more to come in the coming weeks.
