Firm Roots cancer charity

undefinedA Chester parish is to hold a special talk about Firm Roots a Christian organisation which supports people going through cancer. St Mark's, Lache cum Saltney, holds meetings for the charity monthly, on the second Monday of each month.

And a special talk is to be given by Helen Jones, the founder of Firm Roots, at St Mark’s (in the Link building) in Lache on Monday 11 April, 7pm to 8.30 pm. All are welcome to attend, and the parish would particularly like local church leaders to get involved.

Helen Jones will be speaking about her vision for Firm Roots and her personal journey with cancer.

Firm Roots started as a Bristol-based, Christian organisation which offers prayer and spiritual support to cancer sufferers and their care-givers. The aim is to walk alongside people whose lives have been affected by cancer, and to support them with God’s love.

Firm Roots aims to work with local churches in order to offer prayer, retreats and practical support for cancer sufferers. It's motto is Strength for today; hope for tomorrow.
