On Friday morning, Sally Graham contacted the Diocese of Chester to ask for practical help and prayers in response to the care home fire. Please respond if you can.

Chair, Sally Graham says: "Volunteers are urgently needed at the Crewe Lifestyle Centre right now to help sort through clothes; this is being co-ordinated by Hannah at Crewe Town Council. Please go along to help if you can. Other help in the next few days and weeks will also be needed. Practical help is urgently needed. Your prayers are also needed."

Curate in Crewe, the Revd Catherine Cleghorn has been helping to coordinate things on the ground. She says: "It's a really, really sad situation. Many of the residents will have lost all of their possessions. Please hold them in your prayers. We also pray and give thanks to God that no one was seriously injured and we thank God for the amazing community response."
