St Helen’s Day Celebration and St Helen’s Heritage Trail
On Saturday 21st May we are holding a celebration day at St Helen’s Church when Bishop Mark Tanner, Bishop of Chester, will join us.
He will carry out a short dedication within the Church related to changes in our south porch at around 10:15am.
Then, at around 10:30 am, he will, together with others, launch the new
St Helen’s Heritage Trail by leading walkers over the first few hundred metres.
Those who are going to follow all or part of the trail will continue.
We want this to be an open community day and during the day we plan to have lots of things going on including:
• bell ringing,
• dedicated fun craft activities for young families to join in with
• various musical items during the afternoon.
• St Helen’s is a grade 1 listed building and is at least 650 years old so we are also planning to have some guided tours of the Church explaining its architecture and history.
Refreshments, served from our new servery area, will be available all day.
A free guide book for the trail will be available in Church on the day and details of the trail can also be found on our Church web site at
https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/6775/page/77181/view/
Copies of the guide book, which is free, are available at:

We hope that you will come and join us

Parking adjacent to the Church is difficult and currently the limited parking in the Church grounds is restricted to three vehicles for registered disabled drivers only.
However there is plenty of parking opportunities within a couple of minutes walk of the Church.
