Worship: Overview
Welcome to the Worship Resource pages from the Chester Diocese Parish Development Team. On these pages you will find various resources that we hope will be useful for parish ministry.
GAP and Worship
Thinking of ....
- using projected images or text as part of your worship
- revising or producing your own service booklets
- wondering what flexibility Common Worship really gives for your services
- wanting to find out more about other resources that could enrich your worship
- or something else?
Our Worship Adviser, Colin Randall, would be very pleased to help you - either by email, phone (01829-740263) or meeting up. If he cannot help then he can try and put you in touch with someone who can.
There is more information below which you also might find useful.
Service Booklets:
If you are thinking of producing your own service booklets for regular use, this page contains some seasonal examples and may be a useful source of ideas.
Service Ideas:
Ideas and examples of services (e.g. All age worship, annual Memorial Service etc).
Themed resources:
Resources for themed worship (e.g. Creation, Mental Health etc.)
Deliverance and protection:
Occasionally clergy get called on to bless homes or say prayers for protection for people. This page has materials produced by Revd Elaine Chegwin-Hall, one of our Deliverance Ministry advisers.
Links:
This page gives links to other web sites which have a variety of materials to help with worship matters.
Diocesan Worship Advisory Group:
The Worship Resource Group consists of the Worship Adviser (Colin Randall) and a number of other people who are either parish clergy with a particular interest in worship or have roles that help us to connect with relevant different aspects of the work of the diocese. The group meets together 3 or 4 times a year. All are willing to help parishes with different aspects of worship. Details of the group members can be found on the 'Contact' page.
