Memorial Safety Testing
Parishes are responsible for ensuring that memorials in churchyards are tested and reviewed for safety.
They can either receive training to do the testing themselves or engage a company to do the testing for them. Dunn & Co (based in Neston) are often used by churches in the Diocese and can be contacted through their website www.dunnco.org.uk.
Revised guidance on Managing the Safety of Burial Ground Memorials was issued by the Ministry of Justice in 2009.
