Gas / Oil Safety Inspections and Boiler Servicing on parsonage houses.
IMPORTANT CHANGE
Please be advised of a change to the current Diocesan Policy regarding Boiler Servicing on parsonage houses.
Currently this is the responsibility of the occupier.
However, with effect from 1st January 2013 the Diocese will instruct its appointed contractor to carry out a Boiler Service at the time of the Annual Gas / Oil Safety Inspection.
If you have in place your own Boiler Servicing Contract, this can be cancelled.
Please also note that with effect from 1st January 2013 all Gas Safety and Boiler Servicing for the Diocese (both Chester and Macclesfield Archdeaconries) will be carried out by Home Heat Solutions.
Home Heat Solutions will contact clergy direct with an appointment date. It would be appreciated if every endeavour could be made to keep to the appointment time and date given. Not only will this maintain the anniversary date of the inspection but also as the inspections / services are carried out in Deanery groups it will keep the cost to the Diocese to a minimum.
NB: This change relates only to parsonage housing and NOT to church heating systems.
