The Diocesan youth and children's officers have specific opportunities for those who are employed by parishes in the diocese with a specific focus on youth, children or families. This page highlights resources and events that will be of interest to those who work in the area and we would love feedback on what you would like to see here.

Coffee shop meetings
For 2013 we are continuing to follow up the idea raised at the line-manager day and try out some more coffee shop meetings around the diocese for networking. We (Mark and David) will sit in the appointed coffee shop and you can turn up for the whole time, drop in for a while or whatever fits in your schedule. It’s an opportunity to network, discuss your concerns and issues, highlight resources you’re finding useful etc. We will bring a crunch-issue current topic and some new resources too, but the focus of the sessions will be on the things you want to raise and bring. If you can, let us know if you’ll be coming - and then you can also check with us nearer the time who else will be there - or just drop in.

Workers and managers...
We plan to have another day for workers and line managers on 15 July 2013 at Foxhill.

Christmas Meal
The Annual Christmas meal will take place on the 28 November 2013. Venue to be arranged but will be in the Daresbury area.

Other Opportunities
The youth officer and the children's adviser are also able to offer help, guidance and non-managerial supervision to employed youth workers in the diocese as well as offering opportunities to be involved in all of the events and activities listed on this site. Please get in touch by clicking here
