Talks on Judaism offered
IF you feel your parish, or a group within it, might be interested in hearing a talk about the Jewish faith then Gertie and Stanley Kallin would be ideal people to give it. The retired, married couple from Liverpool feature music, humour and a lively question and answer session in their talks, which they have given widely in the Liverpool Diocese. “It occurred to me that the talks might also go down well with church groups on Wirral and parts of Cheshire,” said Gertie, a former Hebrew teacher. Anyone interested in booking the Orthodox Jewish couple (their fee is a modest donation to charity) should telephone them on 0151 722 1858. N.B. It is best not to ring them on Friday evenings or Saturdays when they will be observing the Jewish Sabbath.
