Youth group Bredbury Feb 2014

undefinedSt Mark's church, Bredbury, near Stockport, has launched a new Sunday morning group for the young people aged 14 to 18. Over recent months the parish has seen substantial growth in numbers of teenagers. The new group will seek to encourage them to grow in faith.

The Archdeacon of Macclesfield, the Ven Ian Bishop preached at St Mark’s last Sunday (2 February 2014). He said:  “I was hugely impressed at the way St Mark’s has grown and developed in the last few years. Numbers are up, age profile is down, the new heating is great and the bacon butties between the two morning services were delicious!”

As well as the youth group, the parish also runs: Alpha courses; weekly and monthly prayer meetings;  a children’s holiday club; and Healing on the streets – a team of parishioners going out into the local community offering to pray for local people and their needs
