Wirral Earth Fest 2013


undefinedThe Wirral Earth Festival was held on Saturday 14 September at St. Bridget's church and school grounds, West Kirby, Wirral, CH48 3JT. The main festival took place from 10am to 4pm. It featured live music, artwork, locally produced food, local breweries, films, bees and their hives, hens, ponies, willow sculptors, yoga demonstrations, local rangers, and activities for kids.

Viking-themed events (Wirral has a rich Viking heritage) also featured plus a ‘grandparents’ university’ In the evening there was a folk concert. .

The idea behind the festival was to connect the people of Wirral with their local environment and each other. The event brought together a host of local artists, tradespeople, conservationists, faith groups and activists to celebrate and promote the local area and the wonder of nature.
