Sandiway Queen's 90th flower fest 2016

undefinedSt John the Evangelist church, Sandiway, was alive with colour and scents when it held a flower festival to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.

Floral displays were in the windows, hanging from the roof and free-standing. There were handmade flowers, pictures, and crowns – pus organ music fit for a Queen.

The weekend festival – held over April 23 and 24 – was very much a community event, involving: the church flower group; the choir; the Mothers’ Union; the prayer group; the youth group; Women’s Institute; Eddisbury Flower Group; Cuddington and Sandiway primary schools, Brownies; and the Toddler Group.

The festival was enjoyed by more than 300 people, who visited the church over the weekend.
