RSS

undefinedNearly 400 people attend the launch of ‘Runcorn Life' – an evangelistic mission to the town. The event featured an interview with the former British, Commonwealth, and European Boxing Union (EBU) and world super featherweight boxing champion Alex Arthur.

Alex told Darrell Tunningley – minister at Hope Corner Church, Runcorn – all about being a practising Christian and a professional boxer.

The event – held at the town’s Heath Business Park – was a curtain-raiser for five Sunday evening mission events to be held in March.

The ‘Runcorn Life’ project is supported by 15 churches of various denominations. All the town’s C of E parishes are participating.

Highlights of the project in March will include five major talks by the Bishop of Birkenhead to be held at the conference centre at Heath Business Park. These evening events will be illustrated by film clips and feature interviews with Christians talking about their witness.

At the launch event everyone was give a free buffet supper. There will also be food at the five big events to be held in spring.

Look out for updates here soon about this project.
