The New Year is often a time for people to make resolutions. Why not make a resolution to take a day away from it all or take a full retreat this year? Foxhill House and Woodlands have several available between now and summer.

Stop, look and listen-day retreats
These mini retreats last a day and are a chance to step back from your busyness, and listen to what God is saying to you. ‘The Blue Remembered Hills’ – a time of personal reflection and reminiscence.
A day retreat led by the Revd Taffy Davies: “We will gently reflect on events in life which may have brought us joy or sadness- and to see the point and purpose of these events in our own faith journeys. There will be ample time for quiet reflection, and there will be no pressure to participate in any 'uncomfortable' discussions.” 12th February, 2018.

A day retreat led by the Revd Peter Geddes: “ We shall endeavour a fresh and detailed look at this verse to encourage and to challenge in order to deepen our understanding of the will and purpose of God.” 12th March, 2018.

‘A Listening Ear and a Praying Heart’ – How can I tune into God in everyday life?
A day retreat led by Gill Morgan:  “We will explore strategies to help us tune into God in our daily lives. As we allow the silence to help us hear our inner voice I will also encourage a creative response; artistic ability not required!”  9th April, 2018.

Christian Mindfulness in Lent 
Led by the Revd Shaun Lambert: “Mindfulness of God is a biblical and historical spirituality within Christianity. As we focus our attention on God we begin to be transformed along with our relationships. In this retreat Shaun will explore this transformation in depth in an interactive and dialogic way with simple practices to follow.” 1st March, 2018 4pm  -  3rd March 2pm  £165.

'That's where the light gets in...' (48 hours for Holy Week)
Led by Andrew and Wendy Rudd:  Be still and reflect on the mystery of Holy Week in the beautiful Spring environment of  Foxhill. In short introductions, Andrew will bring words and music to lead us into periods of silence. Wendy will offer creative spaces for quiet reflection. 'There is a crack in everything. Icon Painting Retreat
Led by the Revd Christopher Perrins: This new course to Foxhill is for anyone whether a beginner or someone who has more experience. Each person will paint an Icon using traditional techniques of egg tempera on a gessoed board, using the proplasmos technique with gold leaf for the background.
