Fifteen deacons were priested at Chester Cathedral on Saturday (16 June 2012). Bishops Peter, Robert and Keith conducted the ordinations, with Bishop Peter presiding at the Eucharist.

The Revd Canon Dr Pete Wilcox - Canon Chancellor at Lichfield Cathedral, who is soon to become Dean of Liverpool Cathedral - preached on how Jesus is depicted in John's Gospel. Dr Wilcox also led the ordinands' retreat at Foxhill, during which he explored how Jesus is portayed in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke.

Among those priested, five are stipendiary and will go on to take charge of parishes, and the remainder will act in an assistant, voluntary capacity as self-supporting ministers.
