undefinedThe All Souls Requiem Eucharist at Chester Cathedral on Sunday 1 November will remember PC David Phillips as part of its traditional remembering of all those who have died. The music for service, which starts at 6.30pm, is the well-loved requiem by Duruflé.

PC Phillips was struck by a car and killed during a pursuit in Wallasey, Wirral, on Monday 5 October. A special mention of him will be made in the intercessions by the Revd Lyndon Bannon, who is Assistant Priest at Christchurch, Willaston, Wirral. Candles will be lit in the constable’s memory.

One of the movements from the requiem service at Chester Cathedral, Pie Jesu, will be dedicated to the memory of the police officer. Prayers will be said for the repose of his soul, and for his grieving family, including his wife Jen, and their daughters, Abigail, seven, and Sophie, three.

The Revd Lyndon Bannon will also be leading the funeral service for PC Phillips to be held at Liverpool Cathedral on Monday 2 November, starting at 12 noon.
