Helena , who wrote the songs, has been worshipping at St Mary’s, for the past four years, since coming to faith. She works in Manchester as a music teacher.

After a day of prayer at St Mary’s last March (2011), she was inspired to write songs for the church family.

She started by setting the words of St. Mary's Church Prayer (which begins ‘Oh Lord, my God, give to me a passion for the lost; give to me an overwhelming urge to see lost people saved’) to music.

Then Helena composed the other three songs that reflect her own personal faith journey.
