New appointment for Bishop Libby

undefinedBishop Libby has been appointed as Vice Chair to the Board of Trustees of the Children's Society. The Children's Society works in close partnership with the Church of England to improve the lives of children and young people across the country.

Bishop Libby said; ‘I am delighted and honoured to serve as Vice-Chair of The Children’s Society. For me, this role is an outworking of my Christian faith. I have long admired the direct work of The Children’s Society in providing support and opportunity for some of society’s most vulnerable children, as well as its campaigning for change.‘The charity’s partnership with the Church is a crucial part of its heritage and current work. Its commitment to ensure the most vulnerable children and young people are both listened to, and enabled to flourish in safety is shared by a wide range of partners. I intend to champion and grow those relationships so, with the support of communities right across the country, we can continue to provide hope and transformation.’
