A service for World Mental Health Day

To celebrate our commitment in promoting good mental health, this service will take place on Wednesday 10 October, starting at 7pm at St Peter's Church, Middlewich Rd, Minshull Vernon, a few miles north-west of Crewe. The service also provides an opportunity for Christ's healing touch to be extended to those who wish to receive it.

World Mental Health Day - held on 10 October each year - was started by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992. The aims are to promote more open discussion of mental disorders and to gain investments in prevention and treatment services.

The Mental Health Forum – a working group within our Diocesan Committee for Social Responsibility – has organised the service to remember all who have mental health difficulties and all those who seek to help and work with them. You are invited to stay after the service for light refreshments and a chance to chat to members of the forum.

If you are not able to attend but would like to hold a World Mental Health Day service in your own parish, please feel free to use bits or all of the order of service being used at St Peter’s. Get a copy by clicking mental health service
