Lent talks in Stockport

An inventor, a doctor and an accountant are amongst six guest speakers at St Mary’s Stockport this Lent. The Church has, for some years, held a service on Tuesday lunchtimes as part of its ministry to the town.

For Lent this year the church leaders have decided to try and make the event more outward looking and so have invited a number of Christians from different traditions, all of whom are or have contributed to Stockport life, to speak on 'Easter faith: what Jesus Christ means for my life and work'.  They include a Councillor, a GP, a town planner, the CEO of a social enterprise company, the Managing Director of an accountancy firm and a social entrepreneur.

The talks are free, open to all and will last no more than thirty minutes. Visit
