Lads' and Girls' Brigade

undefinedThe Church Lads' & Church Girls' Brigade Noctorum company, Wirral, have been reflecting on a great year of activities and a growth in membership. Our PICTURE shows a bonfire, where toasted marshmallows were a popular item, but there were lots of other events

Karen Cairns, company captain, writes:  “We had a good week at our annual camp in Prestatyn in July. Eleven members from our company attended. We took part in BMX track riding, swimming, among other things. Activities at the Great Orme in Llandudno included tobogganing, skiing and snowboarding at the all-weather site.

“We also visited a police helicopter and watched the police dog handlers at work. Everyone had plenty of questions for all the emergency service officers who came.  We had a lovely day at Colwyn Bay Mountain Zoo, where everyone had the chance to get up close to a wide variety of creatures. We also had a film night.

“We had a service on Sunday and communion service on Thursday evening. Each night we had devotions.

“We all thoroughly enjoyed the week and made new friends and met up again with old friends. It was a week of faith, fun and friendship. We are looking forward to doing it all again next year.”
