Get social with fellow Christians 2013

undefinedA new organisation which helps Christians socialise and eat together as well as pray has been launched in our region. ‘Eat, Pray, Live' is a project that aims to serve Wirral, Cheshire, North Wales and event further afield by organising Christian social meet-ups.

The group open to people of all denominations, ages, backgrounds, professions and interests.

And while many of the events are centrally organised, members can arrange meet-ups of their own to enable a good cross section of activities and locations across the region.

Members are asked to pay a one off payment of £10 to cover the group’s administration fees.  Any costs incurred for activities / events are paid at the time individually. But the aim is to arrange many free and low-cost activities.

In the event there is any surplus after administration costs, this will be donated to Christians Against Poverty (CAP).

‘Eat, Pray, Live’ has been organised by Julie Dunlop, a member of Upton St Mary’s church, Wirral, who is a “fantastic organiser”, according to the Vicar there, the Revd Graeme Skinner.

Among the events already organised are: a walk and picnic to Hilbre Island, off the tip of Wirral, on Saturday 28 September; and a dinner at the Red Hot Buffet restaurant in Liverpool on Saturday 5 October.
