Face to Face Safeguarding courses

The Church of England has introduced a new modular safeguarding training and development programme for use by Dioceses, Cathedrals and Theological Education Institutions. The programme builds core, generic safeguarding training according to role and through a person's ministry path.

There is a mix of online and face to face courses available. The next courses will be held on 18th November 2017 at Church House , Daresbury Park (WA4 4GE). The Bishop of Chester requires all clergy and those holding PTO to undergo safeguarding training as a pre-requisite to their PTO being renewed in this diocese, including retired clergy.

Courses

The C1 – Foundation, is required for anyone who has safeguarding responsibilities or who has contact with children, young people and / or adults who may be vulnerable.

C2 – Leadership, is required for anyone who has safeguarding leadership responsibilities or responsibility for leading activities involving children, young people and / or adults who may be vulnerable.

C3 - Foundation / Leadership – is required for those holding a licence, commission, authorisation, permission to officiate from a Bishop - Ordained and Lay.
