Egg festival Easter 2014 Stockport

undefinedParishioners at St. Thomas' church, Stockport, enjoyed a fantastic Easter Egg Festival. The highlight was a display of over 100 giant eggs from 50 community groups, schools, charities and businesses.

Included in the display was a Noah’s Ark egg, a flying Superman egg, Humpty Dumpty and many more. Several hundred adults and children attended the festival, which also received local and national media coverage.

Rector of St Thomas’ church, the Revd Andrew Lythall, said: “Many of the festival visitors hadn’t been inside the church before, and it was a wonderful opportunity for us to share our passion for the building and to build relationships with the local community.

“We were amazed at the level of creativity people had demonstrated with the eggs, and we are very much looking forward to repeating the event next year.”
