undefinedThe Archbishop Cranmer Awards for young people aged 11 18 in the diocese of Chester take place each year in November. Entrants read or recite a passage of their choice, 3-5 minutes in duration, from the Book of Common Prayer.

The winners of the Chester heats go through to the National Final where competitors must recite their chosen passage by heart. Entrants are encouraged to ask a teacher or a priest for guidance on how to prepare for the Awards.

There are two age groups: Juniors (11-14 years) and Seniors (15-18 years).
This year the event will be held on Saturday 12th November at St Mary, Nether Alderley 2.00 to 4.00 pm
Bishop Libby is one of the judges.
