Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade

undefinedThe brigade's Noctorum company, Wirral, reports a great year, having recruited new members and retained longstanding members. Karen Cairns, company captain, said: "We have taken part in all the battalion activities this year, where the children meet up with members from all our other companies. The youngsters always love these activities and get on extremely well."

Karen added: “We have church parade each month and all those who can attend. We had our annual camp in Prestatyn in July and we're pleased that we had eight members from our company there.

“We had great week – full of faith, fun and fellowship. We took part in lots of activities including ‘Go Below’, where we abseiled, climbed up a waterfall, walked along stream and zip-wired … all underneath a mountain.

“We had an open day on the Thursday and we hired all sorts of inflatables. It was a national HQ event to let people know what we are about and to encourage new groups to start up.

“We look forward to a successful year ahead and are thankful for the continuing support of all the church family at St Andrew’s.

“And I would not be able to continue with our company without the greatly appreciated help and support of fellow officer Pat Carolan and our leader, Ann Watson.”

Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade is a uniformed youth organisation of the Anglican Churches. It aims to extend the kingdom of Christ among lads and girls.
