A grand quilting celebration for parish

undefinedAll Saints, Cheadle Hulme, is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. To mark the event members of the church and other helpers have been creating a celebration of the life of Cheadle Hulme in art and needlework.

The resulting Cheadle Hulme Quilts (three 7ft x 3ft panels) will be exhibited in All Saints church on the celebration weekend (10 to 12 of August) together with three 3ft x 4ft banners and an altar frontal.

Vicar Janet Bacon said: “These quilts are amazing and a ‘must see’ for anyone interested in needlework and local history. During the celebration weekend there will also be an opportunity for visitors to see the church archives and view flower displays.
“Refreshments will also be served. It will be a fascinating day out and we hope to welcome many people”.
