charity headshave Capenhurst 2012

undefinedLisa Williams, a member of Holy Trinity, Capenhurst, near Chester, has been touched that her friends have decided to have their heads shaved in solidarity with her. Lisa, 33, has battled several forms of cancer since February 2011. Her pals are hoping to raise funds by their visit to the barbers to send Lisa and her young family on a holiday to Disneyland in Florida.

Among the friends who are having their hair shaved off in Liverpool on 1 December is Jo Pemberton, who was a domestic violence officer for our diocese’s ‘Ending the Silence’ campaign a few years ago. Jo is a Reader at Holy Trinity, Capenhurst.

Jo said: “Lisa is a fun-loving, kind, caring and inspirational woman who has shown tremendous strength over the past couple of years. We hope to raise enough sponsorship to pay for Lisa and her lovely family to have the holiday of a lifetime together.”
