Broadheath parish float in carnival Jul 2014

undefinedSaint Alban's church, Broadheath, entered a float in the Altrincham Festival parade. Water Aid was the theme so the float had a number of bathroom facilities planted up with donated flowers and an operating water pump in the bath.

The toilet particularly attracted some attention and laughter and the children were very impressed with the tractor driven by Richard Wright from the congregation.

Although it rained solidly the day before, the Saturday of the parade was a lovely summer’s day.

Several people from St Albans walked with the float to the fairground where the church hosted a prayer and hospitality gazebo.

There were activities for children, drinks and a place to sit out of the sun and chat.
