Billy Williams RIP

undefinedBlacon Crematorium was the place where family, friends and members of St. Mark's Church, Lache-cum-Saltney, Chester, gathered back in February to pay their respects and give thanks for the life of Billy Williams, organist at St Mark's.

He died peacefully, aged 75, after a period of illness. Before becoming organist at St Mark’s, he played the organ for many years at St Matthews’ in Saltney Ferry – the daughter church of St. Mark’s.

Vicar the Revd Hennie Johnston said: “Billy was dearly loved by all, and his faith remained strong through the valleys and mountains of life which he journeyed through with family and friends. He will be greatly missed, but his enthusiasm for life, his love of music, golf, cooking, and beaming smile will be remembered by many.”
