Friends in touching act of solidarity

undefinedA member of Holy Trinity, Capenhurst, near Chester, Lisa Williams, has been touched that her friends have decided to have their heads shaved in solidarity with her. Lisa, 33, has been battling several forms of cancer since February 2011. Her pals are hoping to raise funds by their visit to the barbers to send Lisa and her young son on a holiday to Disneyland in Florida.

Among the friends who are having their hair shaved off in Liverpool on 1 December s Jo Pemberton, who was a domestic violence officer for our diocese’s ‘Ending the Silence’ campaign a few years ago. Jo is a Reader at Holy Trinity, Capenhurst.

Jo said: “Lisa is a fun-loving, kind, caring and inspirational woman who has shown tremendous strength over the past couple of years. We hope to raise enough sponsorship to pay for Lisa and her lovely family to have the holiday of a lifetime together.”
