'Parish fashions' and more - at CRE
The Christian Resources Exhibition (CRE) will be held at south Manchester's Event City for the first time this autumn.
It offers a whole range of resources and equipment for church communities, including a catwalk show of clerical robes at which the Revd Taffy Davies, Vicar of Sutton St James, will be one of the models.
The catwalk show (pictured right) has been dubbed a display of the 'latest Parish fashions' - but the exhibition has displays of much else, too, from photocopiers to pews, communion wine to computers, plus retreat centres, books, DVDs, parish sound systems and stained glass supplies.
The CRE is returning to North West England after nine years, and Paul Trott, head of marketing for CRE’s parent company Bible Society, says he’s delighted about it.
Event City is close to the Trafford Centre. You get to it by various public transport links or, if driving, from junctions 9 and 10 on the M60 motorway.
The CRE is open on Wednesday and Thursday 10 and 11 October. It features more than 150 charities, missions and church suppliers. A series of seminars, given by both regional and national experts, will cover issues of vital concern. There will also be an arts theatre, a big shop and a prayer area. There is much to do, sample and talk about, as our picture below shows ...
