Messy Easter - St Saviour’s, Oxton

Messy Easter took place at St Saviour’s parish centre, Oxton in April 2017, it was a wonderful morning filled with crafts, activities, fun, friendship and fellowship.

Egg carton crosses, Easter baskets filled with chocolate eggs, Holy week banners, palms to be painted, an Easter prayer tree to be displayed in Church at Easter, guess the names of 6 cuddly animals, Easter cards to make... were just a few of the exciting things that were on offer.  We enjoyed hot cross buns, cakes, biscuits, juice, tea and coffee whilst we heard a lovely Easter story.

An Easter hat competition was held in Church followed by an exciting act of Messy worship, with a story, prayers (with sweets!) and lots of singing to bring the day to a close.  91 people attended this fun filled morning! What a wonderful start to our Easter journey!'
