Tourism in the Diocese

Parish Support
Rural Ministry
Urban Ministry

The Diocese of Chester contains some of the loveliest churches in the country and many receive large numbers of visitors - but sometimes these numbers are unexpected and can cause difficulties and concerns in a number of different ways.  How do we deal with visitors?  How do we ask for donations?  What is the best way to welcome visitors?  Is there anything we can do to make our church more welcoming?

Sometimes an 'outside eye' can prove effective and the Tourism Officer of the Diocese can provide help with these sorts of questions and many other issues relating to visitors.  Welcoming visitors can also be something that involves all the members of a Church, and can be seen in the wider context of outreach.  If you would like any help or advice concerning any aspect of visitor care, please contact the Tourism Officer.
