Revd Donald Brockbank is the new Adviser in Christian Spirituality. He has just taken early retirement from full time Ministry after 25 years in both Parish and Diocesan work. Donald says: "I do not pretend to be an expert, rather I am someone who knows the pressures on time, and how hard it can be to keep one's prayer life vibrant when there are pressures on every side."
"Are you or your Church or group interested in Individual or Group Quiet Days or Retreats, Open Door Retreats, or Spiritual Direction/Companionship, then I hope that I might be able to help you, with places, people and resources which might help."
Donald can be contacted by post at: 1 Plover Avenue, Winsford, Cheshire CW7 1LA or by telephone: 01606 593651
There are various resources available in the Diocese related to Spiritual Direction and companionship. For those looking for a Spiritual Director, there is a list of those who are available. For a copy of this list please contact Donald Brockbank
There are also some resources for those who are interested in training to be or developing in their ministry of working as a spiritual director or companion. The Three Counties Spirituality Network, set up in 2003 to begin to form an ecumenical group of spiritual companions in Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire, runs occasional courses on training in spiritual companionship. For more details, contact Revd Donald Brockbank.
