Martin Smith is part of the Committee for Mission & Ministry's team providing support for parishes. He works alongside parish clergy and PCCs advising, encouraging and supporting them in the teaching of the theology and practice of Christian giving. As well as helping parishes to undertake Giving Initiatives, Martin is also available to speak at services and is happy to write articles on Christian giving for parish magazines.
The work involves contributing to Diocesan training courses, including an input into First Incumbency training in relation to Christian giving. Other services provided include the provision of information, training and advice on such matters as Gift Aid, Christian giving teaching resources and books, stewardship prayers, offertory stationery, etc. Click here for a full list of services Martin can offer.
The aim is to help parishes grow in confidence and commitment in resourcing the mission which God has given to every Church member.
