Chester Diocese
Melanesian Brotherhood visit to Chester Diocese 2005
|
OUR Melanesian visitors – Anglicans from the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu in the South Pacific – will be arriving in Cheshire on April 26, this time including religious sisters as well as brothers, and accompanied by the Revd Richard Carter, Chaplain to the Melanesian Brotherhood. A welcome Eucharist will be held in Chester Cathedral at 10am on Sunday 1 May.
Over the seven weeks that follow, the visitors will be hosted by clusters of deaneries and they will share their faith through drama, dance and song, including ‘The Passion of our Lord’ (90 minutes) which will be presented at St Philip’s, Alderley Edge, 3.30pm on Sunday 15 May; and at a host of other venues. Phone Alison Sparham on 01625 523127 or your deanery co-ordinator for more information and see the special Melanesian posters, brochures and prayer cards sent to all parishes.
