Has Lent, our annual tithe to God, become an anachronism?
This is a chance for serving clergy in the diocese, to look afresh at the characteristic notes of lent – Prayer, fasting, self-examination, almsgiving and preparation for Easter. Our key note speaker will be Fr Nicholas Stebbing CR.

10.45am Coffee
11.15am Discussion Groups:
- Ash Wednesday - the launch of Lent
- Fasting – theology and practice
- Praying Together
- Self-examination and Reconciliation
- Reading the Bible
- Prayer Walks and Stations of the Cross
12.45pm Lunch
1.45pm Closing prayers and depart at 2pm
