World Mental Health Day Service

Minshull Vernon - 10/10/2012

A service to celebrate our commitment and work in promoting good mental health.

7pm at St Peter's Church, Minshull Vernon

The Mental Health Forum (a working group within the Chester Diocesan, Committee for Social Responsibility) have organised this service to remember all who have Mental Health difficulties and those who seek to help and work with them, and hope that the event speaks to all those who are involved directly or indirectly with mental health issues; as helpers, carers or sufferers.

World Mental Health Day (10 October each year) was started by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992.  "The Day promotes more open discussion of mental disorders, and investments in prevention and treatment services". (World Health Organisation).

You are invited to stay after the service for light refreshments and a chance to chat to members of the Mental Health Forum.

If you are not able to attend but would like to hold a World Mental Health Day service in your own parish, please feel free to use bits or all of the order of service being used at St Peter's.
