A day exploring power in Christian leadership facilitated by leadership coach Simon Walker
9.45am till 3.30pm at Foxhill Conference Centre

Simon Walker will be facilitating this day which is intended for those who have been part of the Chester Leadership Development Programme, and those who are currently part of the Chester Course in Servant Leadership.
Themes will include:
- The power leaders wield
- How power works in social groups - The Ecology of Power
- Using the right kind of power at the right time for the right reason
- God's economy of power
- Kenosis and the embrace of weakness
- Moving in time with God
Simon served in the Diocese of Chester for three years in the early noughties. Simon Walker is a writer, leader, innovator and practitioner in the field of human development. He is the founder of The Leadership Community and Human Ecology Ltd, as well as author of many models, processes and instruments. All his work seeks to support, enliven and deepen other human beings to live more attentive, rich and undefended lives.
Simon taught at Oxford University from 2003-9 and has lectured internationally from Africa to India, America and Europe. In his past, he has competed internationally at athletics, sold his art for a living, studied Biology under Richard Dawkins and continues to serve as an ordained priest.
Simon Walker's major contributions have been to the fields of leadership and the advancing of his theory of Human Ecology. He is the author of several books on Christian leadership, including The Undefended Life, voted as one of the top ten books on Christian leadership by MODEM.
