Clergy Quiet Day
3rd July 2017
The day will include good food, hospitality and reflections from Bishop Libby.

I want to invite you to join me at Foxhill for a Clergy Quiet Day.

Last year +Peter led 3 such days, and we have decided that every year a Bishop will offer this ministry to resource and support our clergy. I am delighted that I am able to do that this year.

I will be shaping the days around reflections from John’s Gospel. The days will include good food and hospitality, four reflections from me, space for silence and prayer, and the possibility of personal conversation and prayer with me, or a chaplain, if requested. We will have exclusive use of Foxhill for the day.

The Clergy Quiet Days this year are :

Monday 3 July

Monday 18 September

It’s Coffee from 9.30 for a 10 am start - Leave Foxhill by 4 pm

Booking for the days are to be made via Foxhill (01928 733777), and there is no cost to you.

However, the team there are offering a special bed and breakfast rate (£39) if any clergy want to stay the night before or afterwards. Should you wish to have dinner this can be arranged at an additional cost of £16. Please arrange this when you book for the free event.

I hope you will be able to join me. It is a privilege to serve in this way, and it is my prayer that these days will be fruitful for you and your ministry.

With my thanks for our partnership in the gospel.

The Rt Revd Libby Lane

Bishop of Stockport
