The Criminal Justice Group meets 4/5 times a year. Its membership includes; CSR committee members, retired probation officers, chaplains and prison volunteers.
The Group exists to: · inform, resource and support parishes in their contact and engagement with criminal justice issues · support the Chaplains at Styal Prison and Thorn Cross YOI and raise awareness in the diocese of their work and the needs of all in prison · be informed about developments within, and issues concerning the criminal justice system, including non-custodial sentences, projects and the after care of prisoners and to keep these issues on the agenda of churches in the diocese.

Prisoners Sunday and Prisons Week - 3rd week in November each year Each year we help to organise and promote a Prisons Week service with the Chaplaincy teams.
